  2. It’s Psychedelic Sunday with the full album of The 13th Floor Elevators.
    Welcome to the 60’s……

  3. To Robert Ganser, Lelan Rogers was a crook in addition to being a lousy
producer. The only thing that saved the Elevators was the music was so
freaking original and far out that the quality was secondary to just being
able to hear something of such exceptional originality. I heard John Ike
say that in 3 years and several albums, Lelan never paid them which is one
reason Ronnie and John Ike left. I still have three original albums plus
one demo tape they gave me. Treasures all, as are the memories. Roky was
right as we really do miss you all.

  4. Why don’t we have those kind of bands nowadays? I mean I dont see any
similar volume of bands like this one (and many more like this one) being
born today, and the genre still holds place for many to advance it. . .
    Just sayin’.. :/

  5. too much madness…too much music…too much of everything.

  6. Am I the only one to think this tiny sound (in key board or percusion, I’m
not able to identified) is ruining the tracks?

  7. The more I hear these guys the more I like them. I’ve only known about
them for a few days and it feels like I’ve known them years. It’s a crying
shame that they didn’t make more records. They’re right up there with the
best of the psychedelic rockers:- Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Doors,
Pink Floyd, Santana, Cream, Jefferson Airplane, The Grateful Dead, Captain
Beefheart and Frank Zappa and the Mothers et al.

  8. i think robert smith and the cure had this album on their turntable….
