the 13th Floor Elevators – You’re Gon na Miss Me (1966)

return of my remodelled variation of this Austin Texas band “the 13th Floor Elevators” traditional carried out in 1966. Included additional visuals occasionally and remastered track with a bit more punch. As ever the initial owners of the video footage take the credit and if they want me to eliminate it then simply mail me.
A brief note: the Elevators might have been commercially big however were cursed with misfortune en route culminating in the mental death of Roky Erickson due to being put in a mental health center for (in the primary part) the criminally crazy as an example to the youth in Texas that drugs would not be tollerated. The subsequent raid that put him there apprehended him with about 3 grams of Cannabis in a matchbox (speculation is that it was grown on him in the very first location) sadly as Roky was “Roller Rollercoaster”ing with a much even worse mental disorder due to specific treatments they utilized at the time the remainder of the band ultimately folded and went their different methods and after that any possibility for a complete reunion was lost when the guitar player Stacey Sutherland passed away from a shot injury by his separated partner in the late 70's. All in all an unfortunate story and for those interested its worth having a look at the documentary about Roky called “you are going to miss me” likewise the person is worthy of an induction into the RnR hall of popularity so kindly take a minute to sign the petition at this link: http://www.petitiononline.com/roky/petition.html. Once again my credit to the initial video footage owners and rights owners I will certainly eliminate this or credit them if they so desire.
