Disney World: Otis Hydraulic Elevators @ All Star Movies Resort: (101) Dalmatians, Building 2

These are the Otis Series-1 Hydraulic Elevators (with Series-2 Call Stations), in the All Star Movies Resort, (101) Dalmatians Building #4, Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
Per usual, they are nothing special, nor run too well. These are a bit shaky, and the doors on the 2nd lift we ride need help.

  1. The complex was built in 1994, or close to that. I think the Mexican stuff
    started with Series-5 stuff.

  2. some of those are a bit rattly. at disney clean elevators are a given. fan
covers the motor sound. left elevator also makes a few noises upward that
    the right one didn’t.

  3. Actually, the All-Star Movies was built in 1999. The other two All-Star
    hotels were built in 1994.

  4. I expected a lot better from Disney, as the other elevators in the parks I
did ride (Cinderella’s Castle Dining Hall, and Pirates of the Caribbean),
were much cleaner, and run a LOT better.

  5. That second elevator reminded me of how my college’s residence hall
elevator sounds. Just like that one, you hear a lot of cab rattling. Our
elevator is also a Series 1 (I think), but has vandal-resistant fixtures,
similar to that call button outside the elevators, but with red LEDs.

  6. I think they might be series 2 then. The floor counter on the inside looks
similar to a series 1 though.

  7. woa woa woa!!!! walt disney does not suck. its the people who took over the
corperation and are making his name look bad that suck. but walt disney and
his corperation did not suck when he was alive.

  8. Similar to WAL*MART, original owners treated their employees well, then
when the power is passed on, the care was lost on both these companies.
