This is a revisit of my favorite parking garage elevators at the University of Missouri Monk St. Parking Garage (also called Parking Structure 7). This video demonstrates the weaknesses of Sony Autofocusing.

  1. Reminds me of what the Monties at the Galleria looked like, minus the more
modern buttons, and views. In about 30 years, it’ll be a rusty mess!
Galvenized me ass. None of these models (Monty designs) look good for long.

  2. @giggleblaggle Well the single slide door is mainly for passenger capacity,
and the 2-speed door is used for passengers & EMS services, since it has
    room for a strecher.

  3. they have it low volume though you have to be in the cab to have a good
    volume

  4. that voice is really awesome, why can’t Otis make something like that

  5. I actually rode in an old OTIS Elevator (probably from the 80s) that had a
very creepy voice like somthing from X-Files or a Sci Fi Movie.

  6. Great Video! I loved it.

I just started a group called The Society for Vertical Transportation for
all people interested in elevators and other kinds of vertical transport.
You can check it out at http://www.societyforverticaltransportation.com

I am just getting started, but I am looking for interested people to join!!

  7. A 2 speed door is two doors, one is the fast door the other is the slow
door( the fast door is twice as fast as the slow door) also the doors close
at a speed that is regulated by code.

  8. IF BUYING KONE EQUIPMENT “BEWARE” Drives and electronics VERY POOR, QUALITY
VERY POOR, Think twice before committing into a contract.
